Recipes and cookbooks

What are starter recipes?

They are built-in templates that make a new kitchen useful immediately. Review quantities, allergens, technique and food safety before cooking because they are not individually kitchen-tested.

Can I inspect a cookbook before adding it?

Yes. Open Explore cookbooks and select View recipes on any built-in collection. You can review every included dish before adding the cookbook.

Does adding a cookbook duplicate recipes?

No. A cookbook creates a focused view of recipes already in your library. The same recipe can appear in several cookbooks without creating extra copies.

How do I add or edit a recipe?

Select Add meal in My Kitchen, enter the details manually or use an AI draft when available, then review before saving. Open a recipe and select Edit to change it later.

Planning, sharing and accounts

Do I need an account?

The home page, information pages and support form are public. My Kitchen and Account require Sign in with ChatGPT. Separate email, Google and Facebook sign-in are not available in this app.

How does the weekly plan create a shopping list?

Add recipes to the week and set the servings. The app combines measured ingredients and keeps differently measured items separate so you can review the result before shopping.

What can cookbook collaborators see?

Collaborators can access recipes in the cookbook shared with them. Your favourites, weekly plans, pantry selections and other private cookbooks remain separate.

Why can’t I find a recipe?

Confirm you used the same account, select All recipes and clear active filters. Check Archived if the recipe was removed from your active library.
